Hope you have calmed down enough by now to look forward to your weekend. We’ve agreed to do without lillEJ at our party weekend, so we hope she behaves appropriately at yours, watever that may turn out to be. Have fun.

@carolineG, an excellent footman, I’d say you would be. Will we get to see that at Nimhneach? You might even do a short spell on the door announcing guests as they arrive.

How frustrating… I know I’m not brave enough to participate in such a major roleplaying event – that’s why I would never volunteer for it! (I prefer to read about it here instead, lol) If someone commits to an event like this, they should make sure to be there no matter what…

Ditto Graham’s comment – I’d totally offer to help out if geography weren’t an issue, but unfortunately it is. However, it is what it is, so I guess all you can do is try to take a deep breath and relax, bear with any difficulties – and delegate to spread the workload and reduce the Jess-stress! Oh darling. I’m off to Wales next week unexpectedly, as well as needing to be there the week after. If it wasn’t for that, I’d have come and maided for a couple of days.

But things will be fine – you coped with pretty much this number of staff last year, and also in the first year too, remember? And your splendid staff know their stuff inside out now.

As for timewasters… well, I remember a while back when I was helping someone else find a male sub, and it hasn’t done a whole heap for their reputation in my eyes. Luckily I know one or two excellent exceptions to the rule…
